I'm also a con movie junkie. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a con artist when I grew up. I love the idea of all art being a bit like a balloon. All balloons are either lost, deflate, or pop. But, there are always more balloons (until we run out of helium, I guess.)
One of my all-time favorite con movies is The Grifters with John Cusack and Annette Bening. In terms of impermanence art, I always love Andy Goldsworthy's work with nature.
Nailed it!!
Good one - was this reduction easier or harder to do than sone of the others, due to the relative simplicity in color scheme of the work?
Actually, probably a little harder...I probably did a half dozen with different sized balloons in different places!

Definitely something romantic about the classic con-artist figure. You find yourself rooting for them.
