Oh yes, the older and cruddier sounding the better. Pretty much anything I record live I use my phone, and there is no end to the effects to make things sound bad :)
I felt the notes in the first verse made me think of how spring enters - at first, maybe it seems chaotic or discordant, but isn’t that how spring often starts? Perhaps there are some nice days, then some that are wet and windy, and maybe even snowy. Then we enter the days of spring proper - mild, sunny, light and airy - like the second verse. Loved the artist’s work - and agreed, a clean, yet linked, reduction. Good first segment!
I love the effects on the piano. I used to have a Korg digital portastudio that had a scratchy 78 effect you could put on tracks.
