The whistling was my favorite part of this track! Poets' Corner makes for a perfect subject! Another place I long to visit.
As far as cemeteries go, my favorites were the graveyards in Taiwan. The tombs were colorful works of art, much different from Western style cemeteries. Also, in Chinese culture there is a holiday known as Tomb Sweeping Day. This is a time for families to clean the grounds around the graves of their departed ancestors. There is also a tradition that families are expected to pay to have their ancestors remains interred in their "old home" the place where they were born and where the family originally comes from. This meant that in late summer you could often find specialists disinterring remains and cleaning the bones, preparing to ship them off to mainland China for reinterring in a family or clan mausoleum or gravesite.
Me too, I'm especially fascinated with the different Chinese funerary practices and after-death rituals and how they compare and contrast to Mexican traditions like Dia da Morte and ofrendas. Their might be a Weirdo Poetry post in all of that info swimming in my mind. 🧐
Yea the whistling was perfect for this track. Some of my favorite graveyards I’ve visited have been those at ruined abbeys in Ireland and Scotland. They’re quite beautiful.
Wow. Wow. Wowwowwowowooooow. This makes me giddy with the joyous creeps.
I think The Joyous Creeps might have been an 80s punk band.

Amazing! I’m always fascinated by traditions in other cultures.

Speaking of poets, this has a Beat influence flowing through a submerged industrial rhythm.
This is fantastic, Peter!
Thank you sir!
Maybe it was the 808, but this reminded me of old school hip hop in all the best ways.
And thanx for the Bandcamp love!
You couldn't say a nicer thing!
Not exactly the beat I was expecting based on the art!
We're full of surprises over here. Among other things. :)

I remember loving this one when I read it over the summer, so great.

Ooh, sounds great. I wrote about Holyrood Abbey in Scotland early on here at PC...really want to visit there some day.
